Each time before using the pressure cooker, check to be sure that
the rubber gasket and the pressure regulator valve are clean and
positioned properly. Make sure the anti-block shield is clean and
free of food debris.
Close the lid. Hold the handle and turn the lid in a counter-
clockwise direction to lock it.
Place the steam release ring in the "Seal/Close" position and check
that the float of the pressure limit valve is down.
Plug the cord into a wall outlet. The display will show " --:-- ".
When unit is on standby mode, adjust the pressure and cooking
time directly (DIY mode) or select the menu of your choice: Rice,
Beans, Meat, Chicken, Fish and if necessary, adjust the pressure
and/or cooking time.
Press the "Start/Keep Warm/Cancel" button to begin cooking.
If you need to change the settings after the cooking mode is
started, simply press "Start/Keep Warm/Cancel" once to cancel
and start anew.
While the unit is building up pressure, the unit will only begin to
count down after the pressure has been reached. It may take
several minutes to begin the countdown. This depends on the
fullness of the pot. When the pressure level is reached, only the
cooking time will be displayed and the timer will start to count
down.
