•
Apply distance holders (1) to bottom roof panel
(W=477 mm/18.8 in.) according to Table 2 on
page 33.
•
Slide bottom roof panel in main frame profile (2).
•
Apply distance holders to the sides of the bottom
roof panel (3).
•
Place a long H-profile.
•
Place top roof panel.
•
Place a short H-profile.
Fig. X
In case of hood/compartment width 1,5 or 2 m
(5 or 6.5 ft):
•
Place 2 vertical spacers between the H-profiles (1).
•
Fasten them using a pair of pliers (2).
•
Determine position and number of connection
flanges according to Table 3 (metric) or Table 4
(imperial) on page 34.
•
Make necessary cutout(s) in top roof panel(s),
using the inner flange ring as a template.
•
Mount connection flange(s).

Fig. XII
•
Continue to place the bottom roof panels with
distance holders, top roof panels, H-profiles and
vertical spacers (if applicable), except for the last
top roof panel.
Fig. XIII •
Mount the remaining inner and outer corner pieces
(1) and main frame profile (2).
Modular hood XL:
•
Fasten the T-bracket(s) to the cross profiles and
the main frame profile.
Fig. XIV •
Place the last top roof panel and fasten them all.
Fig. XV •
Slide the branding strips in the main frame
profiles.
Fig. XVI Hanging:
•
Lift the hood, preferably using a fork-lift truck.
•
Mount the hood to the ceiling.
Fig. XVII Standing:
•
Mount the floor mounting plates under the legs
(1).
•
Lift the hood, preferably using a fork-lift truck (2).
Modular hood XL: use two fork-lift trucks.
•
Position the legs under the corners of the hood (3).
The round sides of the legs should be directed to
the inside. It is recommended to call in four
persons to hold the legs.
•
Let down the hood easily, until it rests on all four
legs.
Fig. XVIII Standing:
•
Make sure to position the legs as close to the
corner pieces as possible, preferably using glueing
clamps.
•
Fasten the legs to the corner pieces.
Fig. XIX •
Place the corner covers.
Fig. XX Modular hood XL/standing:
•
Mount the corner reinforcements to the connection
plates using bolts and locknuts (1).
•
Mount the corner reinforcement to the legs using
self-tapping screws (2).
Fig. XXI Standing:
•
Place the hood on its final position.
•
Fasten the floor mounting plates to the floor.
Standing:
It is strongly recommended to place column guards
around the legs.
•
Connect the connection flange to an external extraction/
filtration system. For recommended extaction capacity and
pressure drop data refer to section 1.3.
ATTENTION!
During installation, prevent any ductwork from
leaning on the roof panels.
The profiles, on the other hand, are strong enough to
support the duct.
