PU-S power supply unit - operating instructions
1. Description
The PU-S power supply unit (safety transformer) acts as a power supply for Weller
units with a connected load of 24V AC / max. 50W. The PU-S power supply unit is
equipped with a mains switch incorporated into the front panel, a fuse holder and a
3-pin lockable connector socket (24V AC output).

2. Commissioning
Insert the 3-pin plug of the unit to be connected into the 3-pin connector socket of the
power supply unit and lock in place. Check whether the mains voltage is consistent
with the information on the type plate. If the mains voltage is correct, connect the
power supply unit to the mains and turn on at the mains switch.
3. Operating guidelines
The operating instructions of the connectable Weller units are applicable in addition to
these operating instructions.
The PU-S power supply unit is not suitable for the connection of Weller accessories for
which electronic temperature control is required.

The manufacturer accepts no liability for usage other than that specified in the operating
instructions, nor for any unauthorised modifications.

These operating instructions and the warning information they contain should be read
carefully and kept in a clearly visible place adjacent to the soldering unit. Failure to
adhere to warning instructions could cause accidents and injuries or prove detrimental
to health.
The WELLER PU-S power supply unit complies with the EC certificate of conformity in
accordance with the basic safety standards of EC guidelines 89/336/EEC, 73/23/EEC
and 89/392/EEC.
