MAINTENANCE

8.1 Inspection

The fitted Mobilfix terminals and the eyelet should be checked as needed (dirt, damage, etc.) by a technical expert
at least once a year.
In Australia, the person in charge has to be a Height Safety Equipment Inspector.
An technical expert / Height Safety Equipment Inspector is a person who has sufficient knowledge of personal
safety devices through training and experience. It must be guaranteed that this person can assess the operating
safety of the height access system. This person must be well versed with relevant guidelines and generally
recognised engineering rules (e.g. EN standards).
When installing in Australia / New Zealand, please note the following:
"As per AS/NZS 1891.4:2009 the Mobilfix terminal shall be proof loaded to 7,5kN for 15 seconds in accordance
with the manufacturer's instruction immediately after installation and every fifth yearly inspection. The proof load
shall be applied as an axial pull-out force."
SKYLOTEC shall not assume any liability whatsoever unless prescribed maintenance intervals are observed.

8.2 Disposal and care of materials

The system and system components must be in an undamaged, corrosion-free state.
Damaged, bent or compromised components due to a fall, must no longer be used.
All of the threaded fittings and adhesive connections should be continuously checked for secure fit.
Ensure that the anchoring eyelet can be rotated freely and that the shackle can be rotated freely within the angle
range limited by the fall indicators.
The fall indicators on the plastic sleeve of the eyelet may not be bent, cracked, or removed. The retaining balls and
release button should return to their original position when released; otherwise, the eyelet must not be used and
an expert should inspect it.

8.3 Maintenance and care

The eyelet should be treated with care to avoid damage and soiling. Check for cleanliness and smooth operation.
Attention: The Mobilfix system (eyelet and installed terminals) must be checked and
serviced by a technical expert once a year.
