TROLLING MOTOR INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
Transom Mount Installation
Attach the outboard to the stern of the boat via the mounting bracket. Make sure to tighten both
mounting bolts securely (Fig. A). Overtighten the transom clamp screws can weaken or damage
the mount bracket.
To adjust the angle of the motor, hold the motor head with one hand and depress the positioning
pin with your other hand. Press and hold the pin until the desired angle has been reached. Release
the pin and check the mechanism engages securely (Fig. B).
Caution: When adjusting the tilt angle of the motor, NEVER put your hands between the shaft
and the hull.
The depth of the motor can be adjusted up and down by simply loosening the depth collar tension
knob (Fig. C) located on the column, set the motor to the desired depth then retighten the tension
knob securely.
To adjust the steering resistance of your motor, simply tighten or loosen the tension knob on the
side of the mounting bracket.

Bow Mount Installation
The trolling motor controller head default assembled position is for transom mount installation. The
controller handle and propeller are on the opposite side. For bow mount installation, the controller
handle and propeller should be on the same side. To change the controller handle default direction, user
can unscrew and remove the 2 controller head mounting screws. Loosen the controller head assembly.
While holding the underwater motor unit, and turn the controller head assembly by 180 degree
horizontally. Reinstall the 2 mounting screws. The first mounting screw is for the shaft clamp. The second
mounting screw is longer and needs to go through the hole in the shaft to keep the head in center
position. Before reinserting the second mounting screw, check and make sure the electric wires hidden
inside the shaft not blocking the path. Do NOT force the screw into the shaft.
