Installing the hood on the bottom of the wall unit
(WITHOUT side brackets)
3. Apply the big template on the bottom of the wall unit.
Note: the template must be cut to size as shown.
Make the 4 through holes for the screws and the centre hole
for the exhaust pipe and the electric cable.
Repeat the same holes (for the pipe and the cable) on the roof
of the wall unit.
4. Install an exhaust pipe long enough to reach the ceiling of
the wall unit (Filtering version) or the outward exhaust system
(Exhausting version).
Insert pipe and cable in the special hole and let both out from
the ceiling of the wall unit.
Fix the hood to the bottom of the wall unit with 4 screws.
Note: Before tightening the screws, make sure the electric
cable is not pressed or damaged.
Installing the hood with side brackets
5. Apply the template on the right internal side of the wall unit.
The lower and front edge of the template must match the
lower and front edge (without considering the possible door) of
the wall unit.
Mark the two fixing points.
Fix the bracket R to the wall unit with 2 screws.
Note: screw the screws through the smaller holes of the
bracket for proper positioning.
Carry out the same operation on the left internal side of the
wall unit (Bracket L).
6. Insert pipe and cable in the special hole and let both out
from the ceiling of the wall unit.
Insert the hood in the wall unit sliding the brackets of the hood
on the brackets fixed on the wall unit to end stroke.
Let the electric cable through the special slots obtained on the
wall unit.
Block the hood by fixing the brackets to each other with 2
screws (once each side).
If the hood is not perfectly in line with the lower edge of the
side wall units, it is possible to adjust it by turning the fixing
screws.
7. Apply the charcoal filters for filtering version only.
8. Reinsert the grease filters.

Operation

The hood is fitted with a control panel with aspiration speed
selection control and a light switch to control cooking area
lights.
Use the high suction speed in cases of concentrated kitchen
vapours. It is recommended that the cooker hood suction is
switched on for 5 minutes prior to cooking and to leave in
operation during cooking and for another 15 minutes
approximately after terminating cooking.

Maintenance

ATTENTION! Before performing any maintenance operation,
isolate the hood from the electrical supply by switching off at
the connector and removing the connector fuse.
Or if the appliance has been connected through a plug and
socket, then the plug must be removed from the socket.

Cleaning

The cooker hood should be cleaned regularly (at least with the
same frequency with which you carry out maintenance of the
fat filters) internally and externally. Clean using the cloth
dampened with neutral liquid detergent. Do not use abrasive
products. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL!
WARNING: Failure to carry out the basic cleaning
recommendations of the cooker hood and replacement of the
filters may cause fire risks.
Therefore, we recommend observing these instructions.
The manufacturer declines all responsibility for any damage to
the motor or any fire damage linked to inappropriate
maintenance or failure to observe the above safety
recommendations.

Grease filter

Fig. 2-8
This must be cleaned once a month (or when the filter
saturation indication system – if envisaged on the model in
possession – indicates this necessity) using non aggressive
detergents, either by hand or in the dishwasher, which must
be set to a low temperature and a short cycle.
When washed in a dishwasher, the grease filter may discolour
slightly, but this does not affect its filtering capacity.
To remove the grease filter, pull the spring release handle.

Charcoal filter (filter version only)

Fig. 7
It absorbs unpleasant odours caused by cooking.
The saturation of the charcoal filter occurs after
more or less prolonged use, depending on the type
of cooking and the regularity of cleaning of the
grease filter.
In any case it is necessary to replace the cartridge at least
every four mounths (or when the filter saturation indication
system – if envisaged on the model in possession – indicates
this necessity). The charcoal filter may NOT be washed or
regenerated.
Circular carbon filter
Apply one on each side as cover to both the shield grids of the
motor impeller, then turn clockwise.
For the disassembly, turn counter-clockwise.
