3. How to Use Your DynaMO 640AI
3.1 MO Disk Capacities
Your DynaMO 640AI supports any ISO standard 3.5-inch MO Disk.
The following is a list of ISO standard 3.5-inch MO Disks.
·
128 MB MO Disk
·
230 MB MO Disk
·
540 MB MO Disk
·
540 MB Over Write (OW) MO Disk
·
640 MB MO Disk
·
640 MB Over Write (OW) MO Disk
What is the Over Write (OW) MO disk?
Standard MO disks require three rotations of the disk to record the data (erase,
write and verify). OW disks allow your DynaMO drive to reduce the number
of the rotations to two (write and verify). Reducing one rotation improves the
recording speed by 30%. OW disks are only available in 540 MB and 640MB
capacities.
3.2 Inserting an MO Disk
Gently insert the MO disk with the label side up, as shown below, until the disk
clicks into the place. Never force the disk into the drive or insert MO disk
upside down as this may damage the drive.
1.20
• Since a floppy disk is about the same size as
your MO disk, be careful to never insert a floppy
disk into the DynaMO 640AI.
• Do not insert foreign objects into the drive.
