ter on the scale (19).
Now adjust the angle setting of the angle
gauge (17) to the angle of your tool which you
determined beforehand. Position the pointer
to the applicable value on the scale (21) and
secure it with the knurled screw (20).
5.4 Adjusting the sharpening angle on the
machine (Fig. 5)
Fasten the tool you wish to work on in the
clamping device (2). Fasten the tool by tighte-
ning the two locking knobs (4).
Undo the two locking screws (27) on the sup-
port arm (24).
Place the angle gauge on the wet grinding
wheel (5) as shown in Fig. 5.
Important! The edge (23) must rest on both
the grinding wheel and the tool.
Then adjust the distance between the wet
grinding wheel (5) and the clamping device
(2) using the knurled nut (25) until the surface
of the tool and the edge (23) are parallel.
Then secure the locking screws (27) again.
5.5 Changing the wet grinding wheel (Fig. 6)
Before you replace the grinding wheel: Pull
out the power plug!
Empty the water container (10) and remove it.
Important! Use a rag, cloth or similar to pre-
vent the wet grinding wheel (5) from rotating.
Undo the nut (32) using a size 19 mm wrench
while holding the wet grinding wheel (5) firmly
with a rag, cloth or similar.
Important! A size 19 mm wrench not supplied
with the product.
Important! Turn the nut (32) in the direction of
rotation of the grinding wheel (5).
Remove the nut (32), flange (33) and old grin-
ding wheel.
Carefully clean all parts which rotate during
operation before fitting the new grinding
wheel.
Fit the new wet grinding wheel (5), flange (33)
and nut (32) again in reverse order and tigh-
ten them.
Important! Tighten the nut (32) moderately.
Warning! Always use the grinding machine
with the wheel fitted on both sides. This will
reduce the risk of contact with a rotating
spindle.
5.6 Changing the honing wheel (Fig. 1/7)

the power plug!

vent the honing wheel (6) from rotating.
Turn the locking knob (31) in the direction of
rotation of the honing wheel (6) and hold the
honing wheel firmly with a rag, cloth or similar.
Remove the locking knob (31) and the old
honing wheel.
Carefully clean all parts which rotate during
operation before fitting the new honing wheel.
Fit the new honing wheel (6) and locking knob
(31) again in reverse order and tighten them.
Important! Tighten the locking knob (31) mo-
derately.
Warning! Always use the grinding machine
with the wheel fitted on both sides. This will
reduce the risk of contact with a rotating
spindle.
6. Operation
6.1 ON/OFF switch (1)
To switch on the equipment set the On/Off switch
(1) to position I.
Move the ON/OFF switch (1) to position 0 to
switch off the equipment.
After switching on the equipment wait for the
equipment to reach its maximum speed of rotati-
on before commencing with the sanding/grinding
work.
6.2 Preparing the wet grinding wheel (Fig. 8)
You can use the grinding stone (15) to refresh
the surface of the wet grinding wheel (5).
Important! The grinding stone (15) has sur-
faces with two different grain sizes.
If you use the coarse side of the grinding
stone (15), the surface of the wet grinding
wheel (5) will become rougher. This will mean
that you remove more material when grinding.
Conversely, if you use the fine side of the
grinding stone (15), the surface of the wet
grinding wheel (5) will become smoother. This
will give you a sharper grinding result.
Important! The water container must be full
when you apply the grinding stone (15).
Switch on the machine and place the grinding
stone (15) on the wet grinding wheel (5). Hold
the grinding stone (15) for approx. 30 se-
conds on the wet grinding wheel (5). For more
even abrasion, move it slightly back and forth.
Important! The grinding stone (15) is not
suitable for surfacing work or removing major
areas of unevenness on the wet grinding
wheel (5).
