PACKING GLAND
As a rule do not dismount packing
glands with internal pressure in the
valve. However, if the following pre-
cautionary measures are taken the
packing gland can be removed with
the valve still under pressure:
1. Backseating (fig. F): To backseat the
valve, turn the spindle anticlock-
wise until the valve is fully open.
2. Pressure equalizing (fig. G): It may
be that pressure builds up behind
the packing gland. Therefore, fix a
large washer – pos. A – on top of
the spindle before equalizing the
pressure by slowly unscrewing the
packing gland.
3. Removal of packing gland (fig. H):
Dismount
washer
and
gland.
REPLACEMENT OF O-RINGS AND
GASKET (FIG. I)
Replace the O-rings and gasket of the
packing gland by original Danfoss
O-rings and gaskets or change the
complete packing gland. If there are

marks of blow on the spindle it must
be replaced.
LUBRICATION (FIG. J)
For optimum tightness, fill the rail in
the middle of the packing gland with
original Danfoss grease (part No.
2452+143).

DISASSEMBLY OF THE VALVE
(FIG. L)
OBS: Do not remove the bonnet while
the valve is still under pressure.
Valve bonnet and guide are held
together by O-ring pos. 19. Separate
the bonnet pos. 3 and the guide pos.
20 by pulling the pieces from each
other. Check that O-rings pos. 19, 13
and 24 (fig. M) are not damaged.

REPLACEMENT OF O-RING
POS. 24 (FIG. M)
O-ring pos. 24 seals between seat and
cone. Therefore, it has to be changed
if the valve is leaking. Use a pointed
tool to dismount the O-ring pos. 24.
Check that cone pos. 5 and guide pos.
20 are not worn out. If these parts are
worn out it is necessary to change the

complete guide which consists of all
wearing parts part No.:
2433-107 (DN 20 mm / 3/4"),
2433-108 (DN 25 mm / 1").
Assembly – see overleaf (fig. D).
Tightening – see overleaf (fig. D).

or factory.

PAKFORSKRUNING
Ved afmontering af pakforskruningen
bør ventilen normalt være fri for indre
tryk. Pakforskruningen kan dog af-
monteres, når der er tryk i ventilen,
hvis følgende sikkerhedsregler over-
holdes:
1. Bagudtætning (fig. F): Spindlen dre-
jes mod urets retning, indtil ventilen
er helt åben.
2. Trykudligning (fig. G): Tryk kan dan-
nes bag pakforskruningen. Fast-
spænd derfor en stor spændeskive
– pos. A – el. lign. for enden af
spindlen, inden trykket udlignes.
Trykket udlignes ved langsomt at
skrue pakforskruningen ud.
3. Udtagning af pakforskruning (fig.
H): Spændskive og pakforskruning
kan nu afmonteres.
UDSKIFTNING AF O-RINGE OG
PAKNING (FIG. I)
Udskift O-ringe og pakning i pak-
forskruningen med originale Danfoss
O-ringe og pakninger, eller skift hele
pakforskruningen. Har spindelen fået
slagmærker, skal den udskiftes.
SMØRING (FIG. J)
For at opnå optimal tæthed skal pak-
forskruningens midterste rille fyldes
med original Danfoss fedt (part nr.
2452+143).
Tilspænding af pakforskruning (fig. K).
ADSKILLELSE AF VENTILEN
(FIG. L)
OBS: Topstykket må ikke aftages,
mens ventilen er under tryk.
Ventilhalsen og styret er sammenholdt
af en O-ring pos. 19). Adskil ventilhals
pos. 3 og styr pos. 20 ved at trække
delene fra hinanden. Kontrollér, at
O-ringene pos. 19, 13 og 24 (fig. M)
er ubeskadiget.
