buildings, at trade fairs, etc.) or else for your leisure, to keep in touch with your friends or keep in contact when out hunting,
for example.

C. ON/OFF and volume adjustment knob: Turn clockwise to turn on the device and increase the volume. Turn
anticlockwise to lower the volume and turn off the device.
D. PTT (Push-To-Talk): Push this button to transmit, release to receive.
E. Monitor button: Press and hold to hear the background noise; release to return to normal operation.
F. Button not programmed
G. Headset/external mic jacks: For connecting to external devices such as headsets or microphones.
Coverage / range
The maximum range depends on the field conditions, and is obtained in open spaces.
The maximum range may be limited by environmental factors such as obstacles created by trees, buildings or other
structures. Inside a car or a metal structure, the range may be reduced.
Coverage in towns, where there are buildings or other obstacles, is around 1 or 2 km.
In an open space where there are obstacles such as trees or houses, the maximum range is around 4 to 6 km.
In an open space without obstacles and with clear line of sight, in the mountains for example, coverage may exceed 12 km.
