We suggest taking it apart and washing the removable parts in warm water with non-abrasive liquid detergent before the first use. Under the bowl, there is a silicone pad (Figure 7) that prevents juice from exiting through the pulp ejector. When using the Slow Juicer, make sure the silicone pad is firmly in place. When cleaning the bowl, make sure to slide the pad out and run water through the pulp ejector to remove excess food debris. -
