general description
The Energy Saver ES-90/005 is an energy saving option which
can be used with all our extractors of Plymovent. Via a sensor
clamp on the welding cable the ES-90/005 controls an
individual fan. It starts the fan automatically when welding
begins and stops it when welding finishes. An adjustable
overrun of 7 sec. - 6 min. can be preset. A manual override is
also included.

Options and accessories
LS-12 (light sensor)
The LS-12 is intended for use with the energy savers and
automatic dampers as an alternative to the inductive sensor.
The LS-12 is used when using gas welding or TIG welding with
currents below 30 A.
S-100 (switch assembly)
The fan can be started manually with a switch, fitted on the
hood or connected to the ES-90/005.

Technical specifications
power supply
115/208/230/400/480/600V, dependent on the fan size (a
contactor for fans up to 4.0 kW [5 HP] is built in). Must be
combined with relevant fan motor overload protection (not
included).
Outlet
115/208/230/400/480/600V, dependent on supply and 24VAC
and 24VDC.
Sensitivity
The sensor reacts to alternating current (AC) and direct
current (DC) down to 30 A. For gas and TIG welding below
30 A, light sensor LS-12 should be used instead of the
inductive sensor clamp.
automation
7 sec. - 6 min. adjustable overrun. Has manual override.

Operation
The Energy Saver ES-90/005 automatically starts/stops the
fan, and has a built-in transformer 230V 24V 75VA for light
cartridge HL-20/24. It is suitable for one arm.
The ES-90/005 controls the extraction fan which extracts
polluted air during welding, which surveys have shown to be
about 10-20% of the working day. This means enormous
savings both in heating costs and wear and tear. For voltage
