If you feed the input of the SL 218 A from a mixing
console's AUX Send or matrix output, connect this
output to the SL 218 A's input using a balanced audio
cable. If you want to feed several SL 218 As with the
same audio signal, use a balanced audio cable to
connect the second SL 218 A' s input to the first
SL 218 A's Through jack, and so forth.
Note:
Connect all cables first, and then switch on all other
devices in the audio signal chain before switching
the SL 218 A on. When switching the system off,
proceed in reverse order; that is, switch the SL 218 A
off first.
Set the SL 218 A's Bypass switch to Off to remove
the integrated crossover from the signal path.
Refer to the table below to find your PA system and
set the upper frequency limit and polarity accordingly
using the X-Over knob and Phase switch, respectively:

Use the Gain knob to adjust the SL 218 A's level to
that of the sound reinforcement system. If you feed
the input of the SL 218 A from a mixing console's
AUX Send or matrix output, set the SL 218 A's Gain
knob to 0 dB, and control the SL 218 A's level from
the mixer.
