4 Main components
Blower device Proflow Ex.
The complete blower unit consists of a blower body, a blower,
a breathing hose, a battery, a recharger and a belt.
4.1 Filter
The Proflow Ex is used with Pro2000 filters.
See points 9 - 11 and Instructions for Use of the Filter.
4.2 Full face mask Sari
Full face mask Promask
Half mask HM-AF
The Proflow Ex is used with the Sari full face mask, the Promask or with the HM-AF half mask. See
points 9 - 11 and Instructions for Use of the mask in question.
4.3 Face shield Automask
Face shield Automask Litehood
Face shield AF
The Proflow Ex is used with the Automask face shield. The Auto-
mask can be supplemented with the Litehood hood. The Automask
combined with the Litehood protects better than the Automask
alone. The hood also protects the whole head and the Automask
against dirt.
See points 9 - 11 and Instructions for Use of the face shield in question.
4.4 Accessories
Optional waistcoat-type body harness or the belt
Universal for extra support.
5 Battery
5.1 Activation
Before the Proflow Ex is used for the first time,
the battery must be activated. (To prevent accidental over-discharge of battery during transport
and storage, the small snap coupling of the battery has been left open.) Attach the small coupling
(= activation of battery), attach the big coupling, press the battery in to its base and mount the
blower device (figures 7-13 Replacing the battery). Charge the battery.
5.2 General
Charge the battery before use. The recharging time of an empty NiMH- is about 6 hours. The
temperature of the battery to be recharged must be +10°C...+ 30 °C. Always use the Proflow Ex's
own recharging device (the recharger is delivered with the blower unit). The recharger performs a
battery test at start of each charging to detect defective batteries.
Recharging should always take place at a room temperature of about +20°C, in a dry place
shielded from dust and direct sunlight.
