22.0 PLANT CONTROL

The moving guard (fig. 13E) places the plants in vertical position, so that they are ready for ejection. By
turning the screw (fig.13A) it is possible to adjust the range according to the plant height.

23.0 SCRAPER

It is possible to adjust the distance from the ground by turning the screws (fig. 13D) and the support (fig.
13B).
It is possible to adjust the distance from the wheels by turning the screws (fig. 13C).

24.0 FURROW-OPENING PLOUGHSHARE

It can be easily opened to be cleaned. Unloosen the wing nut (fig. 14A) and push the ploughshare forward
(fig. 14B) by pressing the safety lever (fig. 14C), lower the ploughshare. To close it: bring the ploughshare
back on a horizontal position, push then backward and lock the wing nut A.

25.0 TRANSPLANTING DISTANCE BETWEEN THE ROWS

The distance between paired rows can be adjusted between 60 cm and 120 cm.
• Transplanting units (fig. 12G): turn the screws (fig. 12M) and move to desired position.
• Conveyor hose (fig. 12N): turn screws (fig. 12L) and place to the centre of the seed tube (fig. 1N).
• Cardan drives (fig. 12I): 4 lengths are supplied; apply the one which is suitable to the distance between
paired rows as shown in the table (fig. 15).
25.1 DRIVE CARDANS
Assemble as follows:
-All screws are to be aligned (fig. 15a)
-half-cups open to the middle of the seed tube and ejector in rear position inside the ploughshare (fig.11R)
-carry out this operation on one row at a time

26.0 PLANT TO PLANT DISTANCE ON THE ROW

The diagrams (fig. 16 and fig. 17) show respectively the distances which can be obtained with the standard
or optional gear ratios.
To change the standard gears and obtain the distances indicated, observe the safety regulations, and
proceed as follows:
-Tighten the wheel depth adjustment device (fig. 18F) to reduce the tension of the chain
-Remove the casing (fig. 18A) by turning the nuts (fig. 18B)
-Without opening the chain, support the tensioning device (fig. 18C) with the chain still on it
-Move the chain to the outside of the lower and upper gears
-Release the chain tensioner gradually
-Change the gears by turning the appropriate fixing screws (fig. 18D,E), positioning them as shown in the
table (fig. 16-17)
-Reposition the chain making certain that it is correctly inserted on the appropriate chain tensioner (fig. 18C).
-Fix the casing and return the depth adjustment device to its initial position.
26.1 RAPID GEAR VERSION "RAPID SHIFT"
The diagrams (fig. 19) and (fig. 20) show the distances available with the standard and optional ratios.
In order to obtain the given distances, slacken the chain (fig. 21A) by using the knob and the lever (fig.
21B) and move it to the desired position. Lock it again making sure that the chain is aligned and moderately
stretched.

27.0 SINGLE ROW USE

The distributor (fig. 11H) has 24 cups. A mark indicates 12 cups alternatively to allow the operator to
deposit the plants on the right or left row only.

28.0 DRIVE WHEELS

While operating, the drive wheels must always be in contact with the ground in order to operate the
transplanting unit. The tractor hydraulic lift must be completely down. (Fig. 11A).
