OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
AUTO SAFETY SHUT-OFF WITH INSTANT TIP-OVER PROTECTION
• This heater is equipped with a Total Safety System with tip-over protection that will shut-off
the heater in an overheat situation.
TIP-OVER SHUT-OFF:
When the unit is accidentally knocked over, it will shut off. To reset, simply place the heater
•
in an upright position on a level surface.
OVERHEAT SHUT-OFF:
When a potential overheat temperature is reached, the system will automatically shut the
•
heater off. Make sure heater is clear of all obstructions. It can only resume operation when
the user resets the unit. (see instructions below).
RESET INSTRUCTIONS
• If the Overheat Shut-off is engaged:
1. Turn Control to OFF.
2. Unplug the unit and wait for 5 minutes.
3. Plug the unit in and operate normally.
4. Monitor the heater for anything abnormal. If the problem persists, please unplug the unit and
contact our customer service team.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
MAINTENANCE
•
Make sure the unit is turned OFF, unplugged and the heating elements of heater are cool whenever
you are cleaning the heater.
Wipe the exterior surface of the heater occasionally with soft damp cloth (not dripping wet) and dry
•
the exterior surface before operating the heater.
• When the heater is not in use, the heater should be stored in a dry location, away from possible
damage. The power cord should be stored properly to avoid contact with hot or sharp objects.
• Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
STORAGE
• Make sure the unit is cool to the touch and all internal parts have cooled off before storing the product.
• Try to protect the unit from being tipped or dropped as it can damage the internal parts. If the unit has
been tipped or dropped take caution when using. Do a visual inspection, looking inside the unit for
any broken or loose parts. Gently tip the unit and listen for any loose parts. If all looks good take
caution while plugging the unit into the wall and when starting the unit to look, listen and smell for
anything out of the ordinary. If it sounds strange or smells of burning, immediately power off the unit
and unplug it from the outlet, then contact our customer service.
