The re-sterilization of the reusable medical devices must be done by a properly
trained and protected staff, while respecting regulations in place. The re-
sterilization protocol must be appropriate to match with the risks of infection.
For each device used please refer to the manufacturer's instructions. More
particularly, please respect the concentration levels, the duration of the
exposures, the liquid solutions replacement and the products' life-time. Never
mix the products. Please dispose of the products as per instructed in the
notices.

Use only products intended for the maintenance of the medico-surgical
material.
Proscribe the antiseptics which are intended to be used for the skin and
the mucous membranes

Only use products compatible with the stainless steel.

Appropriate protective clothes and gloves must be used in order to
prevent any risk of infection and injury.
PRE-DISINFECTION
Pre-disinfection is to be conducted immediately after the operation.
By soaking:
• Dismount completely the device.
• Use only detergent or disinfectant solutions with a neutral or slightly alkaline
pH. It is not advised to use products which may fix X proteins to the unit
(alcohol, aldehydes...).
• Carefully rinse and dry every part.
Or : thermo-disinfection (washer disinfector), immediately after the surgery.
• Dismount first the device. Place carefully each part.
• The thermo-disinfection cycle lasts 10 minutes at 93°C (203°F). Follow the
manufacturer's instructions for use.
• Use only low alkaline cleaning products with pH is between 2.5 and 9.
• Respect imperatively the drying cycle.

Drain the possible water residues with pressured medical quality air :
Wear glasses and a mask.
