3. Bedliner Installation
CAUTION: It is recommended that two (2) people install the bedliner to avoid damage to the painted surface of the truck.
(NOTE: If the front floor tie down plugs were not removed when cleaning the bed, remove them at this time.)
Dimple locations mark the centers of the other
positions that may be used for gate positioning.
bedliner is installed in the truck box. Dimple locations mark the centers of the other positions that may be used for gate
positioning, however it is recommended to not cut out all positions. Location holes to be drilled from the outside (back
side) of the bedliner. If part is already installed in truck box, remove bedliner from truck box before drilling out position
locations. The Chrysler part number to order more cap plugs is 55362785AA.
ATTENTION:
Upon installation of the bedliner there may be some initial distortion which prevents the floor from lying flat. Minor to moderate distortion is a
normal occurrence from the installation process and/or storage method.

There are multiple positions available for use with the cargo
restraint gate. Three of the positions are cut out for use with
the bedliner. There are 4" cap plugs provided in the kit to
cover the cutout areas when not in use. To install the top 4"
plug pull the top of the lower hole towards the inside of the
bed. Insert one edge of the plug in the top of the top hole.
Working your way around the edge of the plug continue
pushing the plug into the hole. To install the bottom plug use
the same technique starting by inserting one edge of the plug
in the top of the lower hole and continue to push the plug into
the hole while working your way around the edge of the plug.
It may be necessary to use the de-burring tool to remove a
small amount of material (if needed) from the inside of the
hole cutouts to aid in the installing of the 4" cap plugs. If other
positions are required for use with the restraint gate, a 4" dia.
hole saw and drill is recommended for this task. It is
recommended that these locations be drilled out before the

STEP 1
With a 10mm socket, loosen the hex head bolts that hold both side
cargo management rails in place. Remove all side bolts and both
cargo management rails completely. Set aside for later reinstallation.
STEP 2 (FIGURE #1)
Lift driver's side of bed liner in the truck box so that the front rail of
the bed liner lines up over the front rail of the truck box and
passenger side sidewall of bed liner slides towards the passenger
side and allow the driver's side to drop into place. The bedliner may
need to be pushed down on driver's side to seat properly.
STEP 3
Re-install both side cargo management rails with the hex head bolts
that were set aside in Step 1. Do not tighten bolts completely.
STEP 4
If the bed liner is not properly aligned, adjust it at this time.
NOTE: The bed liner has been designed to allow for expansion/
contraction in extreme ambient temperatures. Therefore it is
impossible to have a perfect fit at all times.
STEP 5
Now re-tighten the hex head bolts that secure the driver and
passenger side cargo management rails. The torque specification
for the bolts is 71.6 in lb +/- 4.4 in lb (8.1 Nm +/- 0.5 Nm)
NOTE: Make sure that bed light is centered against bedliner
light hole cutout before proceeding to step 6.
STEP 6 (FIGURE #2)
Drill a pilot hole (1/8" or 3 mm dia.) at center of fastener hole at top
of "D" pillar for the self-tapping screws. With a portable drill and Torx
driver, center a self-tapping screw in the pre-drilled hole in the
bedliner at the top of the rear "D" pillar and fasten the rear sidewall
to the truck box. Repeat process on the other side.
