This link connects the negative of the supply to the chassis
and earth lug. The link is not normally installed.
Operational modes
Mode dual optical fibre connections
See Figure 2.
In this mode, two separate uni-directional optical fibre cables
are used, one for transmitting and one receiving. The two
optical fibre connectors work like a dual motorway, where one
connector transmits data to the RS485 port and the other
receives data from the RS485 port.
Mode single optical fibre connections
See Figure 3.
In this mode, two independent bi-directional optical fibre cables
are supported for use in a multi-drop formation. All data
received from optical fibrer port A is transmitted to both optical
fibre ports B and the local RS485 port. All data received from
the optical fibre port B is transmitted to both optical fibres port
A and the local RS485 port. In turn, all data received from the
local RS485 port is transmitted to both optical fibre ports.

Beskrivelse
ATS1743 er en RS485 til multimode optisk fibre interface, for
direkte udvidelse af Advisor Master data bus med optiske
fibre.
Montering af enheden
ATS1743 har et standard ATS "BB" printformat, der kan
monteres i et ATS kabinet.
