A) GENER AL INFORMATION
The described device is a bidirectional keypad to be used for example with the control panels Silenya Top/Free and SilenyaPhone and allows
the total/partial ar ming and the disarming of the c ontrol panel through a high-security 5-digit numerical code: apart from the entered code, the
device trans mits in a cr yptographic and non-reproducible way, so that even by c opying the code, it is not possible to disarm the control panel.
Furthermore the keypad allows the transmission of a "Panic" alar m and the immediate c hec k of the operations carried out and of the main
functi ons of the control panel: in c ase of alarm, it emits l ow-intensity sounds, which are enough to warn the user in case of s ystems s et with anti-
robber y pre-alar m.
With Vocal Keypad it is possible to record vocal messages, whic h are then repeated by the device, thus obtaining a voc al confirmation of the
operations and of the alarms : in this way the comprehension for the end-user is muc h more simplified.
B) TECHNICAL FEATURES COMMON TO BOTH MODELS
Power supply: 3 LR14 batteries 1,5V each – consumpti on 200uA in stand-by, 100mA wor king – 2 years lifespan with 4 on/off per day – low
battery super vision on the unit itself (warning by s everal BEEPS) and trans mitted to the c ontrol panel.
Functions: control panel operati on – panic alarm trans mission – RX2 rec eivers operati on – al arm repetiti on
L.E.Ds indications: 5429: 7 leds for functions verificati on – 5429V: 8 leds for functions verificati on
Radio transm ission: coded at the fac tor y (40 bits) – frequenc y and power acc ording to regulations – 100 mt range c over i n open air and about
40 mt indoor, whitout presence of nois es on the used bands.

C) FUNCTIONING – warning: keypad stops functioning for 1 m inute after 16 wrong disarming attempts!
TOTAL ARMING: enter the 5- digit code, the A-B-C lights fl ash, press the RED button
PARTIAL ARMING: enter the 5- digit code, the A-B-C .lights flash, press the A-B-C buttons of the areas you want to leave out, the relevant led
turns off, now press the RED button
DISARMING: enter the 5- digit code and press the GREEN button
CONFIRMATION OF OPERATIONS: after every operati on carried out, you get a confirmation through a LED (turned on = armed) and through
a voc al message (if rec orded in the right way). Also the control panel and the sirens gi ve a c onfirmation (see specific handbooks)
PANIC – ROBBERY ALARM: press ! for at least two sec onds – the al arm s et during installation will start.
RX2 OPERATION: enter the code given to the RX2 rec eiver and then pr ess RED to acti vate it or GREEN to deacti vate it.
EVENTS SIGN ALLING: the keypad signals s ome i mportant events regarding the al arm s ystem as follows:

new event: while disarmi ng the s ystem c hec k the history memory on the control panel (led 5)
•
open door/window: while ar ming the s ystem you get signalled possible protec ted door/window still open (led 6)
•
low keypad batter y: the s ymbol with one batter y indic ates that the keypad batter y s hould be s ubstituted (led 7)
•
low batter y: the s ymbol with 3 batteries indicates that another part of the s ystem has a l ow batter y – see details on the control panel (led 8)
•
Pre-alarm i n progress: when a detector with entr y delay detec ts an al arm, during the delay time you will have a corres ponding warni ng
mess age.
D) RUNNING SETTING – please follo w step b y step
1.KEYPAD PROGRAMMING
After you put the battery in the keypad, you hear a BEP and all leds turn on, wait 10 sec onds and then ar m and dis arm the c ontrol panel: while
disarming you get the automatic programming of the device, 6 BEP and the leds turn off.
2.PANIC AND TAMPER AL ARM PROGR AMMING
Set the control panel on programming mode on Panic or Robber y c hannel, acc ording to the required al arm. Press for 8 seconds the panic
button (!). The c ontrol panel confirms (BEEP) the occurred programming.
3. 5-DIGIT CODES PROGRAMMING FOR ARMING/DISARMING
Set the control panel on CODES programming mode and enter a 5-digit code on the keypad (flashi ng leds): press together the RED and
GREEN button until a BEEP fr om the control panel confirms the operati on.
4. CODES CANCELL ATION
With Silenya control panels this oper ation is to be carried out directl y on the control panel, with the other ones it is necess ary to set the control
panel on test mode, enter on the keypad the code to be c anc elled and then press together for 10 s econds the RED and GREEN keypad
buttons. The control panel confirms the occurred cancellati on (BEEEP)
5. VOC AL MESSAGES RECORDING (ONLY 5429V)
To record vocal messages press the GREEN button and enter the mess age number (1 ÷ 9): the recor ding status is indicated by the flas hing led
4 and by a combination of the other leds (see "indic ation" bel ow) indic ating the message to be rec orded. F or carr ying out the first rec ording (for
each mess age) keep the GREEN button pressed while recording, the recording starts onl y when the led 4 is fixed (no flas hing – appr. 2
seconds), end the recordi ng by releasi ng the GREEN button. At the end of the recording, the vocal message is repeated automaticall y and it is
possible to confirm it with the GREEN button or cancel it with the RED button (both operati ons exit the recording status). In cas e a message has
already been rec orded, it is repeated while entering the recordi ng mode and can be c onfirmed with the GREEN button or cancelled with the
RED button. Each mess age can have a variable length but the total length of all messages has to be maximum 120 sec onds.
Message 1 : total arming indic ation: L1, L2, L3 fi xed – Example: "Total s ystem armi ng"
Message 2 : partial ar ming indication: L1, L2, L3 flashi ng – Example: "Partial s ystem armi ng"
Message 3 : disar ming indic ation: all LEDs ar e tur ned off (except for L4) – Example: "Good morni ng, the s ystem has been disar med"
Message 4: new event indic ation: L5 fl ashing – Example: "Pl ease chec k the c ontrol panel memor y"
Message 5 : open door indication: L6 flashi ng – Example: "Pleas e chec k if doors and windows are clos ed"
Message 6 : low inside batter y indication: L7 fl ashing – Example: " Low keypad batter y, pl eas e call the technical assistanc e"
Message 7 : low other sys tem batter y indic ation: L8 fl ashing – Example: "Low s ystem batter y, please c all the tec hnic al assistance"
Message 8 : outdoor alarm - Indic ation: L1 fl ashing – Example: " Warning! Intrusion in the outdoor area"
Messag e 9: pre-alar m from a detector with entr y delay – Example of message: " Warning! Alarm will start at the end of programmed entr y delay"
From the vocal mess ages recordi ng mode you exit by pressing the C button or anyway for time-out after 1 mi nute.
