Installation and regulation
of power tool elements
Before carrying out any works on the power tool it
must be disconnected from the mains.
Do not draw up the fastening elements
too tight to avoid damaging the thread.
Mounting / dismounting / setting-up of
some elements is the same for all power
tool models, in this case specific models
are not indicated in the illustration.
Carriage position (see fig. 1)
The power tool can be moved only when positioned
for carriage (the body pulled down and fixed). When
moved, the power tool has to be held only by carrying
handle 24, or underneath baseplate 13
Before starting any work, position the power tool for
operation
• Slightly press handle 8
• Pull lock 28 all the way out Turn lock 28 90° in any
direction and slightly press to fix in this position (see
fig. 1).
• Lift the body up smoothly
• To position the power tool for carriage, do the indi-
cated operations in a reverse order
Dust bag mounting / dismounting (see fig. 2)
Before operation put dust bag 30 on dust removing
coupler 3 (see fig. 2). Dump and clean dust bag 30 in
due time
Extension bracket mounting / dismounting (see
fig. 3)
If you are planning to cut long blanks, you should
mount extension brackets 12, adjust them properly
(depending on the blank length) and fix them using
butterfly screws 27 (see fig. 3).
Cramp mounting / dismounting (see fig. 4)
In order to fix the blanks properly, mount cramp 20
and fix it using butterfly screw 27 (see fig. 4). Adjust
cramp 20 depending on the length and thickness of
the blank
Turntable lock mounting / dismounting (see fig. 5)
Lock 17 is intended for setting and fixing the rotation
angle of table 14 Mount / dismount lock 17 as illus-
trated in figure 5.
Installation / replacement of the batteries for the
kerf indicating laser (see fig. 6-7)
• Take off cover 35 (see fig. 6-7).
• Install / replace batteries 34 (AA type) Caution:
during installation of batteries 34, observe correct
polarity.
• Place cover 35 back
Replacement of the saw blade (see fig. 8-9, 19)
After prolonged operation, the saw blade
can become very hot, remove it using
gloves. This will also reduce the risk of
injury by the cutting edge.
• Lift the body to the uppermost position
• Press down blocking lever 23 as shown in picture 19
with one hand, and move sliding guard cover 10 into
the proper position, so that its notch is opposite
bolt 6 - this should allow bolt 6 to be unscrewed easily
(see pic 8-9)
• Press down spindle lock 9 and rotate saw blade 5
manually in order to lock it in a fixed position. While
pressing down spindle lock 9, unscrew bolt 6 with
the help of wrench 31 (for KGS16-210 P) For
KGS18-255 P, use Allen key 32 Attention: bolt 6 has
a left-hand thread.
• Move sliding guard cover 10 to the uppermost posi-
tion
• Take off external flange 7, saw blade 5, mounting
ring 37
• Clean the fixture elements with a soft brush and
put mounting ring 37, saw blade 5, and external
flange 7 onto the spindle Please observe the mount-
ing sequence and avoid skewing the parts
• Move sliding guard cover 10 to the proper posi-
tion, so that its notch would be opposite the bolt 6
and, pressing down spindle lock 9, tighten bolt 6 with
wrench 31 (for KGS16-210 P) For KGS18-255 P, use
Allen key 32 Release spindle lock 9
• Ensure that saw blade 5 does not touch any power
tool elements and can rotate freely
• Move sliding guard cover 10 to its original position
Adjustment of the cutting depth (see fig. 10-11)
Using bolt 38 and lock-nut 39 adjust the cutting depth
so that saw blade 5 goes into the slit of insert 15 by
max 5 mm in its lowest position
