Cleaning
Before using your new espresso maker for
the first time, brew one pot of coffee and
pour it out. Always wash it by hand with
water and washing-up detergent after use.
Make sure the filter is positioned in the right
direction when fitting the espresso-maker
together (see figure, part 2).
Instructions for use
1. Pour water into the bottom section of the
espresso-maker (6). The water should
reach the safety valve (5) but not rise
above it.
2. Fit the funnel (4) and fill it with finely
ground espresso coffee. Do not pack
the coffee. When the funnel is filled, the
amount of coffee is correct in relation to
the amount of water.
3. Screw the bottom and top sections (6
and 1) together. Make sure that the fit
between the filter (2) and the gasket (3)
is perfectly tight.
4. Place the espresso-maker on a hob, at a
low heat level. The coffee will then rise
into the top section (1).
5. The coffee in the espresso-maker is
ready as soon as the bubbling noise has
stopped. Remove the espresso-maker
from the hob immediately to avoid dry-
boiling.
6. Serve the coffee directly from the
espresso maker without taking it apart.
