Remove bumper fascia – use 7 mm socket and T15 driver to remove (4) screws at bottom center of fascia, (6) screws beneath splash board and on the side of heat shield (each side), and (3) screws inside
wheel well (each side). Open the trunk and gently pull the fascia away from the car. Disconnect electrical connector on the driver side before completing fascia removal.
2.
Use 15mm socket to remove (2) flange nuts on each side of rear exhaust hanger bracket and take off the bracket. Then remove (3) places rubber exhaust hangers separately.
3.
Use flat head screwdriver to remove (10) nuts attached on heat shield. Trim the heat shield as shown in Figure 2 and to be reinstalled after trimming.
4.

secure before drilling.
5.
Feed the carriage bolt ① and spacer ② through slots on bottom of frame rails using the pull wires ⑤, as shown in Figure 3. Leave pull wires attached.
6.

7.
Tighten all ½'' GR5 fasteners with torque wrench to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M)
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
8.
Reinstall exhaust hangers, exhaust hanger brackets, fascia, and all fasteners removed in Step 1, 2.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or
ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
