To prevent possible SERIOUSINJURY or DEATHfrom a
failing garage door:
• If possible, use emergency release handle to
disengagetrolley ONLYwhen garage door is CLOSED.
Weak or broken springs or unbalanceddoor could
result in an open door failing rapidly and/or
unexpectedly.
• NEVERuse emergency releasehandle unless garage
doorway is clear of persons and obstructions.
• NEVERuse handle to pull door open or closed. If rope
knot becomes untied, you could fall.
DISCONNECT THE TROLLEY:
The door should be fully
closed if possible. Pull
down on the emergency
release handle (so that the
trolley release arm snaps
into a vertical position) and
lift the door manually. The
lockout feature prevents
the trolley from
reconnecting automatically,
and the door can be raised
and lowered manually as
often as necessary.
