1. Open glove compartment.
2. Remove instrument panel insulator panel
retainers and panel (see Fig. 27).
3. Remove cabin air filter cover retainers and
cover.
4. Remove cabin air filter.
Cabin Air Filter Installation
1. Install new cabin air filter and secure with clips, ensure clips engage fully. If filter is equipped
with air flow markings, ensure marking is facing the proper direction.
2. Reinstall previously removed parts.
3. On Chevrolet Volt models, torque the lower air fasteners to 80 inch lbs.
Noise Test
1. Reconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Engine ON, A/C ON, blower speed on high.
3. Listen for any abnormal air noises from the air filter area.
