This guide presents the basic steps to set up this device. For detailed instructions
and specifications, refer to the user manual on the CD enclosed with this product
or at manhattanproducts.com.
1 Insert the installation CD into the CD/DVD drive of your computer.
2 The installation process will start automatically. If it does not, double-click the
"Setup.exe" file on the installation CD to begin.
3 Follow the on-screen prompts.
4 Click [Finish] to complete the installation.
5 Restart your computer.
6 Connect the device to the PC and a video source.
7 Access honestech™ VHS to DVD™ 4.0 SE through the Start menu button (Start >
All Programs > honestech VHS to DVD 4.0 SE) or double-click the icon on your
desktop. Enter the product key that is printed on the CD.
8 The program will open with the Capture, Edit, and Burn screens. Here, you can:
• Burn your VHS recordings to DVD, VCD & SVCD or save as an image to
burn later
• Record from multiple tapes and video sources
• Convert to formats such as DVD, MPEG, WMV, LongDVD, iPod, PSP
• Convert overseas tapes to the local standard
• Import existing videos from your computer
• Edit or combine recordings from one or multiple sources
• Add transitions, special effects and text to video
• Preview recording before burning to ensure it plays as desired Create custom
disc menus
