CASTOR REPLACEMENT

(reference exploded drawing page 12)
a) Turn over the seat
b) Pull the castor (26) hard to remove together with the pin.
c) Insert the new castor with pin by pushing it hard into the seat.

GAS CYLINDER REPLACEMENT

(reference exploded drawing page 12)
a) Position the stool at minimum height and turn it over;
b) Use the 6 mm Allen key to slacken the three screws (34) fixing the backrest support (7) to
the hub (9):
c) Withdraw the circlip (24) from under the base (23);
d) Withdraw the base (23) from the gas cylinder (12);
e) Remove the washers (19), bearing (20) and rubber rings (18) from the gas cylinder;
f) Use a 4 mm Allen key to remove the three screws (33) and remove the hub cover (17) and
tube cover (16)
g) Use a 4 mm Allen key to remove the three screws (30) securing the fixed hub (8) to the cush-
ion (1);
h) Grip the gas cylinder firmly with one hand and with the other use a rubber faced mallet to
strike the three arms of the fixed hub (8) until the gas cylinder (12) can be removed;
N.B. Take care not to strike the three grub screws (29);
i) Insert the new gas cylinder in the fixed hub (8), grip the pump after turning it over (the fixed
hub facing upwards) and use a steel mallet to strike the hub until it fits correctly on the cylin-
der;
j) Check that the three piston levers (13) do not move with respect to the hub; to eliminate play
adjust the three grub screws (29) by means of a 2 mm Allen key;
k) Reassemble in reverse order of the above.
