Disposal of packaging materials
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during carriage . The pack-
aging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease
of disposal, and are therefore recyclable .
Returning the packaging to the materials cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste that is generated . Dispose of packaging materials
that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations .
NOTE

If possible, keep the original packaging of the appliance during the warranty
period so that the appliance can be packed properly for returning in the
event of a warranty claim .
Note the labelling on the packaging and separate the packaging material
components for disposal if necessary . The packaging material is labelled with
abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meanings:
1–7: Plastics
20–22: Paper and cardboard
80–98: Composites
Installation
1 . Place the scales on a level, firm surface .
2 . Place the cradle 3 on the two protruding pins 4 . The holes for the screws 2
must be above the gaps for the pins 4 .
3 . Push the screws 2 through the holes in the cradle 3 from above and screw
them in using a Phillips screwdriver .
4 . Place the weighing bowl 1 on the cradle 3 .

The appliance may only be used when fully assembled .
