CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE

Defective components must always be replaced with original replacement parts.
Compliance with safety requirements can only be guaranteed if original replace-
ment parts are used.

Do not allow any liquids or moisture to get into the appliance.
■
Do not place any objects on the scale when it is not in use.
■
Protect the appliance against knocks, dust, chemicals, extremes of temperature,
etc. and keep it away from sources of heat (ovens, radiators).
■
Do not press down on the weighing mechanism.
■
Do not press on the plastic cover of the weight display.
■
Do not expose the appliance to high temperatures.
■
Do not load the scale with more than 5 kg. The scale could be irreparably
damaged.
Preparation
Unpacking
1. Remove all parts of the scale and the operating instructions from the box.
2. Remove all packing material from the scale. Remove the cable ties and the
paper from below the weighing mechanism.
3. Clean the appliance as described in the section "Cleaning and Care".

Do not allow children to play with packaging materials. There is a risk of
suff ocation.
Disposal of packaging materials
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during carriage. The pack-
aging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease
of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the materials cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste that is generated. Dispose of packaging materials
that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.
NOTE
►
If possible, keep the original packaging of the appliance during the warranty
period so that the appliance can be packed properly for returning in the
event of a warranty claim.
