4.2.1
Adjusting the height
Adjust the helmet in height by changing the depth of the
suspension mesh as follows:
1. Release the rear tabs of the mesh fastened with hook-and-
loop fastener and slide them in the slots on the harness.

Adjusting the circumference
INFO: The helmet is supplied with the size adjustment band
fully extended. For proper adjustment follow the sequence
described below.
1. Put on the helmet and then adjust the size using the wheel.
2. For optimal adjustment, it is advisable to push down on the
helmet with one hand and then make the adjustment with
the other hand. The size adjustment system also acts on
the neck straps.
3. Pull the two straps (see figure 1, item 1) that join the chin
strap to the adjustment system only during the first
adjustment.

Adjusting the retention system

First use
Chin strap:
1. Adjust in height as described in chapter 4.2.1.
2. Put on the helmet.
3. Adjust the size as described in chapter 4.2.2.
4. Fasten the buckle.
5. Slide the adjustment strap (see figure 2, item 1) in the
adjustment crosspiece of the system (item 2).
6. Again pull the adjustment strap so that the system adjusts
correctly.
7. If you cannot achieve the correct adjustment, act on the
adjusters (see figure 3, item 3) positioned on either side of
the chin strap and lengthen or shorten the strap.
Regular use
Chin strap:
1. Fasten the chin strap with the buckle.
Size adjustment:
1. Adjust as described in chapter 4.2.2.

Attaching the goggle (optional)

Attach the goggle with silicone cord as follows (see figure 4).
1. Insert one of the ends of the silicone cord from the outside
into the hole (item 1).
2. Repeat with the other end of the silicone cord on the other
side of the helmet.
3. Pull on both ends of the cord evenly so that the cord sits on
the helmet rim.
4. Pull one end of the silicone cord first through one hole on
the inside of the goggle support (item 3). Then pull it back
through the other hole (item 4).
5. Continuing with the same end, pull the silicone cord
through the hole in the helmet shell (item 1) again.
6. Pull the same end of the silicone cord through the hole in
the middle of the helmet rim (item 2) and securely fasten it
by making a single knot (detail A).
7. Repeat steps 4-6 with the other end of the silicone cord.
Attach the goggle with the elastic band as follows (see figure
5).
Dräger HPS 3500
1. Starting from the inside of the goggle, pull one end of the
elastic band out throughthe narrow slit of the goggle
support. Pull the elastic band back in through the wide slit.
This fixes the elastic band to one side of the goggle.
2. Slide the other end of the elastic band through the oblique
slit in the helmet shell (item 1).
3. Slide the elastic band around the rear of the helmet. Pull
the band through the oblique slit on the other slide. making
sure that it sits on the elevated part of the helmet above the
rim as seen in figure 5.
4. Fix the end of the elastic band to the goggle as described
in step 1.
Attach the goggle with elastic band and fast connection system
(QuickConnect) as follows (see figures 7-11).
1. Check that the goggle is positioned correctly (figure 7).
2. Insert one of the fast couplings into one of the oblique slits
on the helmet shell (see figure 8, item 1).
3. Position the tooth of the fast coupling so that it rests on the
edge of the helmet shell (see figure 8, item 2).
4. Push the coupling (see figure 9, item 3) until a "CLICK" is
heard (see figure 9, item 4.
5. Make sure that the attachment system of the fast coupling
is correctly connected to the helmet shell (see figure 10).
6. Repeat steps 2-5 on the other side of the helmet (see
figure 11).
When the goggle is used with the elastic band or with the quick
connectors, the pressure of the goggle on your face can be
adjusted using the ends of the elastic band that protrude from
the retainers.
If you do not want to use the goggle, push it up onto the helmet.
When the goggle is used with the fast connection system, you
can remove them by pushing the teeth of the connection
system.

Attaching the side lamp (optional)

The lamp holder is fitted on the left or right of the helmet shell
on the dedicated adaptors.
1. To use the lamp, fit the holder (see figure 12, item 1) in the
slide of the adaptor (item 2).
2. Fit the lamp (see figure 14, item 3) in the holder (item 1).
The lamp can be used in two positions:
facing down (see figure 15)
facing up (see figure 16)
4.2.6

Attaching the front lamp (optional)

The front lamp adapter (see figure 17, item 2) is fixed to the
interface on the front of the helmet shell and is compatible only
with specifically designed front lamps.
1. Position the front lamp with the lamp adapter (see
figure 17, item 1) on the front lamp interface from the top
(see figure 18).
2. Slide the lamp down until the adapter clicks into the front
lamp interface (see figure 19).
3. Adjust the position of the lamp (see figures 20+21, item 2)
4. To remove the lamp (see figure 22) pull the lever (item 3)
on the lamp adapter until the adapter detaches from the
interface. Slide the front lamp with the lamp adapter
upwards and remove it from the front lamp interface.
