5.2 Stopping the tool

The tool must always be switched off at the end of any working session:
Select the OFF mode of the switch (7).
Lean the tool without leaving its weight on the rakes and without bending or tensioning the connector and the power supply cable
(13).
Do not squash the cable (13) by putting weights or the tool onto it.

5.3 Troubleshooting

FAULTS
The tool does not work.
The tool is not powerful enough.
Temporary tool stopping during the use.

- MAINTENANCE

6.1 Routine maintenance

WARNING!
Before any routine maintenance operations, select the OFF mode of the switch (7) and disconnect the cable (13) from the
tool.
All maintenance operations which are not described in this manual shall be carried out only by authorized service points.
Before any routine maintenance operations, if the harvesting head is assembled on the tool, switch the tool off (see the power
unit manual), disconnect the power supply cable and then remove the head from the extension pole.

6.1.1 General

Before any routine maintenance operation:
Select the OFF mode of the switch (7).
Wear protective gloves.
Disconnect the harvesting head from the extension pole.

6.1.2 Cleaning and storing

Carry out the following operations:
Select the OFF mode of the switch (7).
Disconnect the power supply cable (13) from the battery and from the tool.
To clear out impurities which have infi ltrated the engine cooling fi ns, blow compressed air into the vent slots, taking care not to bring
the blower nozzle too close to the fi ns themselves.

6.1.3 Lubrication

Lubricate the harvesting head each 24 work hours by carrying out the following operations:
Links (26) lubrication: unscrew the plug, then use a greaser to add + PTFE lithium soap grease (code 001001569).
Con rod (27) lubrication: unscrew the plug (18), then use a greaser to add + PTFE lithium soap grease (code 001001569). Make the tool
idle for few seconds and repeat the operation till the grease comes out.

6.1.4 Teeth replacing

The damaged teeth have to be removed from their seat (16) by carrying out the following operations:
Remove the rake from the connection after unscrewing the two screws (22) fi xing the plate (21).
Position the support (16) onto a vice and shorten the damaged tooth (15) up to 2 cm.
By means of a rubber hammer hit the top of the tooth (15) till it gets out of its seat (picture P).
Put the new tooth (15) into its seat and check the small plastic protrusion has reached the teeth support side (picture Q).
Re-assemble the rake onto the connection.

CAUSE
• Flat battery.
• Wrong connection of the exten-
sion pole with the power unit.
• Incorrect terminal connection.
• Flat battery.
• Motor overheating due to thick
trees.
• Exceeding current limits.
REMEDY
• Re-charge the battery.
• Remove the extension pole and
check the insertion of the engine
connection in the extension pole
fi tting.
• Reverse the poles.
• Re-charge the battery.
• Get out of the tree, wait for the
automatic unlocking phase and
start the tool again.
