¾ Charge the power pack
using the Lycos 40/430
QC charger or another
charger approved by the
manufacturer.
The power pack is supplied partially
charged. Before first use, fully charge
the power pack to ensure the full
capacity of the power pack.
Note
The power pack becomes hot
during operation.
Charging indicator light
The power pack has a charging indicator
light that shows the power pack charge
status.
Press the small black button on the

power pack to read off the charge
status.

Status Meaning
First LED is green: The power
pack level of charge is between
1 - 25%.
Charge the power pack.

The first two LEDs are green:
The power pack level of charge
is between 26 - 50%.
The first three LEDs are green:
The power pack level of charge
is between 51 - 75%.
All LEDs are green: The power
pack is fully charged (about
76 - 100%).
First LED is red: The power pack
is fully discharged. Charge the
power pack.

During charging, the green LEDs
flash in a running line.
The charge status reached is
signalled by continuously illumi-
nated LEDs. The remaining LEDs
continue to flash.
General information about the
power pack
The Li-ion power pack is protected by the
"Battery Management System" (BMS)
against deep discharging and overheat-
ing. If the power pack is discharged and
the power pack temperature is greater
than 70 °C, the electrical power tool is
protected by a protective circuit so that
the tool being used no longer moves.
If the power pack is overheated, allow

it to cool.
Charge the Li-ion power pack before
long periods of disuse.
Note
The lithium-ion power pack can
be charged in any charge state
and charging can be interrupted
at any time without damaging the
power pack.
