2 Card installation/removal lever
Used for installing/removing the card. Refer to the leaflet included with
the card for installation.
Refer to the owner's manual supplied with each device for more
information about installation and removal.
3 ERR indicators
Flash or light when an error occurs in the card.
Red
When these IN/OUT indicator both rapidly flash (four times/
(flashes)
second) at the same time, this indicates that a problem has
occurred in the software of the card. Try turning off the power to
the system. If the problem persists, an internal failure may have
occurred.
Red
When the indicator of the connector for which the error occurred
(flashes)
flashes one time/second, this indicates that optical power has
dropped. Try the steps listed below. If the problem persists, the
device will continue to operate but an inspection is required as
soon as possible.
Red
Communication is not possible. Try the steps listed below. If the
(lights)
problem persists, an internal failure might have occurred.
• Make sure that each fiber optic cable is securely connected and
locked.
• Clean both ends of the cables and the connectors on the card by
using commercially available optical fiber cleaning products.
• A fiber optic cable may be damaged. Replace the cable with another
one.
If the ERR indicators do not go off after performing these steps, have
the card inspected by qualified Yamaha service personnel.
