4.3 – CONTROL PANEL TEST (this operation is also used for changing batteries since the sirens are blocked)
Enter the user code and press ↑ (CONTROL PANEL TEST) – confirming with ↵ , the initial description
appears:
- All detector alarms must be set off by opening protected doors/windows, moving around the areas protected by volumetric detectors,
interrupting the infrared barrier rays and so forth, always waiting up to 5 seconds between two alarms, up to 99 successive alarms. If there is a
greater number of detectors, perform the test in two stages.
Upon completion, check on correct transmission of each alarm, verifying the various alarms on the display by using the ↓ ↑ arrows:
ALARM DET ↑
03 C1 H C2 M ↓
The quality of the radio signal is described as follows: H = high ; M = medium; L = low.
In all these cases the system functions correctly. Differences in signal are due to distance and physical obstacles between the control panel and
the detectors. If there is no indication for one of the frequencies, it is probable that the detector is beyond maximum range or that there are
interferences on that frequency. If there are no indications of either frequency, perform an actual test; i.e. activate the control panel and provoke
an alarm. Since the TEST signal is attenuated in accordance with Standard 50131, the device may be functioning correctly after all. If no alarm
occurs, call for technical assistance.
Note: Some detector models transmit an alarm twice; therefore, two consecutive signals will be memorised.
Note: The signal of a particular detector may sometimes be H and other times M. This is due to random interferences or to movement of
persons in the protected rooms during testing. This occurs often when checking the remote controls, since the position of the remote control in
relation to the control panel is not permanent and therefore, the signal received tends to vary.
Note: To perform a TEST of the volumetric detectors, no one should be in the protected area for at least two minutes prior to the test, which is
performed by crossing this area. The detector light indicates the alarm which will be memorised in the control panel.
4.4 – RADIO RECEPTION TEST – INTEGRATED FIELD METER
Enter the user code and press ↑ then ↑ - confirm with ↵ and the FIELD METER TEST appears.
Confirm with ↵ again and two indications, C1 (first frequency, about 433MHz) and C2 (second frequency, about 868MHz), will appear.
By transmitting a radio signal with any device, the intensity of the signal received for each frequency can be seen. The signal is valid if more
than one tag is shown.
4.5 – INTEGRATED PHONE DIALLER TEST
Enter the user code and press ↑ then ↓ - confirm with ↵ and the PHONE DIALLER TEST appears. Insert a telephone number to be called,
confirm with ↵ and select the message to be sent with ↓ ↑ . Confirm with ↵ , then using ↓ ↑ choose whether test is to be performed on PSTN or
GSM line. Confirm with ↵ and the test call is made to the number specified. The person called must be able to hear the message perfectly.
4.6 – READING THE EVENT MEMORY
The control panel memorises up to 200 events (arming, disarming, various alarms), displaying the date, time and periphery concerned. The
events are always queued and the 201st event cancels the first one and so forth. In order to read the memory, enter the user code and press ↓
. The last event with time and date will appear on the display. View all events by scrolling the display with ↓ ↑ and ending by pressing ESC. Due
to the size of the display, the memorised items are abbreviated as follows (examples):
a) telephone call with vocal message for user Marco
(5) REM: Remote control
DET : Sensor/detector
USER: entry in user menu
