INTRODUCTION
WARNING: Read all the safety information, instructions,
illustrations and technical data that were supplied with the
MASTER cut 2600 and the power tools used. Failure to comply
with the following instructions can lead to electric shock, fire
and/or serious injury.
Keep all safety information and instructions for future
reference.
The term "power tool" used in the safety information refers
to electric tools operated with mains power (with mains
power cable).
1. SCOPE OF DELIVERY
Take the MASTER cut 2600 out of the cardboard box and check
that the contents are complete and all illustrated parts are
included (Fig. 1A and Fig. 1B).
2. BASIC ASSEMBLY
2.1 Assembly of the table: Place the table on a flat, clean
surface (Fig. 2.A). Release the two eccentric levers and fold out
the right pair of legs as far as they will go. Then close the two
eccentric levers again (Fig. 2.B). Release the four eccentric levers
and fold out the left pair of legs as far as they will go. Then close
all four eccentric levers again (Fig. 2.C). Place the table on its legs
and, if necessary, adjust the table by turning the height
adjustment (Fig. 2.D).
CAUTION! Take care not to pinch your hands when folding up
and unfolding the table or inserting the machine plate.
2.2 Protective cover: Mount the individual components of the
protective cover (Fig. 2.E). Push the protective cover holder into
the aluminium profile and position the protective cover over the
saw gap in such a way that it covers the front area of the saw
gap area. Tighten the eccentric level (Fig. 2.F).
2.3 Switch clamp: Fasten one end of the cord to the switch
clamp and the other end to the corner profile of the table
(Fig. 2.G).
CAUTION! Make sure that the cord is just long enough that the
switch clamp will automatically detach from the power tool
when the machine plate is removed.
2.4 Screw hooks for storage: Loosely assemble the three
holders. Subsequently slide the holders into the guide and
position at suitable intervals. Tighten the lock nuts. Place the
push stick and/or accessory parts that are currently not needed
on the screw hooks (Fig. 2.H).
2.5 Parallel guide, or optionally angle stop
Parallel guide: Mount both stop slides on the long aluminium
stop. Place the stop on the aluminium profile of the table and
close both eccentric levers (Fig. 2.1). Loosely install the two bolts,
washers and the square nuts at the stop (Fig. 2.J). Push the short
aluminium stop (1.15) onto the two square nuts and subsequently
tighten the screws (Fig. 2.K).
Angle stop: Push the angle stop into the guide slot. Loosely
install the screws, washers and nuts as shown and insert them
in the angle stop (Fig. 2.L). Push the aluminium stop (1.15) onto
the square nuts. Subsequently tighten both screws.
CAUTION! For material thicknesses from a min. height of 15 mm,
the aluminium stop has to be installed standing on its side
(Fig. 2.M). For material thicknesses up to a max. height of
15 mm, the aluminium stop has to be installed lying flat,
as shown (Fig. 2.N)
t
Note: The aluminium stop (1.15) is needed both for mounting the
angle stop and for mounting the parallel guide. It is not permitted
to use the angle stop and parallel guide simultaneously.
2.6 Clamping blocks: Mount the two small clamping blocks on
the short side of the table (Figures 2.O - 2.S). Use the supplied
Allen key, which can be stored within easy reach in one of the
small clamping blocks following installation. Subsequently mount
the two large clamping blocks on the long side of the table. The
four clamping claws supplied can be inserted into the holders on
the sides of the large clamping blocks for transport and storage
(Figures 2.T - 2.W).
3. USING THE SAFETY SWITCH
Mount the safety switch on the machine table as illustrated
(Fig. 3.A).
Connection to the power supply: Insert the connector plug of
the device into the safety switch and connect an extension cord
(not included) from the safety switch to the mains power socket
(Fig. 3.B).
CAUTION! Press the thermostatic switch before using the device
for the first time. Then press the red button (OFF) on the safety
switch.
Fasten the switch clamp to the mounted device. Press the green
button (ON) and check that the machine rotates freely in the gap
insert. Then press the red button (OFF) again. If the power is
interrupted due to excess voltage, wait 5 - 10 minutes before
pressing the thermostatic switch again. Then press the ON button
(Figures 3.C - 3.E).
CAUTION! Always pull out the mains plug if the table is not
in use or when folding up the table.
4. MOUNTING THE CIRCULAR HAND SAW
4.1 Removing the machine plate: Raise the gap insert slightly at
the recess as illustrated to unlock it. Then pull the gap insert in
the direction of the arrow. Now remove the gap insert (Figures
4.A and 4.B). Unfasten the four screws of the machine plate.
Raise the machine plate at the recessed grip and remove it
(Figures 4.C to 4.E). Insert the gap insert for circular hand saws
(1.3) again until it locks into place. You need the second gap
insert (1.4) for jigsaws or for routers (Fig. 4.F).
CAUTION! The two gap inserts must always be removed before
removing the machine plate.
CAUTION! Removal of the machine plate or two gap inserts as
described in section 4.1 has to be performed for every device
change.
4.2 Compatible circular hand saws: Check the maximum
diameters of the base plate of your circular hand saw (Fig. 4.G).
Always use circular hand saws with a riving knife, max. saw blade
diameter of 200 mm and max. cutting depth of up to 70 mm.
CAUTION! Use of circular hand saws without riving knife
is described in section 12.
Assembly and alignment of the circular hand saw:
Place the machine plate with the inserted gap insert into the
cutout in the table (Fig. 4.H). Release the cutting depth lock on
the circular hand saw and retract the protective pendulum cover.
Place the circular hand saw on the gap insert, making sure that
it is centred on the cutout in the gap insert. Set the circular hand
saw to the maximum cutting depth and tighten the cutting depth
lock (Fig. 4.I).
