is still hot, use proper utensils for protection.

5. USEFUL GUIDELINES

5.1. FIRST STEPS WITH A CHARCOAL GRILL

• For adequate air flow, the ashes accumulated in the lower part of the tray must be
removed. However, check that the coals are fully extinguished before removing the
ashes.
• Follow the instructions on the charcoal packaging. Observe the charcoal capacity
indicated below:

• Arrange the charcoal into a pyramid shape. Then light the coals following the
instructions in this Manual.
• After approximately 15 to 20 minutes of fire, spread the coals out evenly using a
long-handled utensil. We recommend using Tramontina utensils.
• Make sure the charcoal is not too close to the cooking grate.

6. CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

To maintain your grill's performance and durability, follow the cleaning instructions
below:
DANGER
• Do not touch or clean your grill in any manner until it is completely cooled down
and the coals have been extinguished.
• Remove the cooking grate (see the instructions on handling the grate).
• Remove the ashes.
• Clean the grate using a brush with metal bristles, mild detergent and warm
water. Rinse well with running water and dry immediately. We recommend using
a Tramontina brush with metal bristles. The cooking grate should be cleaned after
each use.
• The other parts of your grill should be cleaned after each use with a soft sponge,
mild detergent and warm water. Rinse well with running water and dry immediately.
Always keep your grill dry.
ATTENTION
• Coastal areas or other areas of high humidity, or the retention of certain residues
(salt, fat, foods), may accelerate the formation of corrosion (rust) on the grill. Use
extra care in cleaning, maintaining and storing the grill.
• Before reusing your grill, check that it is properly attached to the base and retighten
the parts as needed.
• The cooking grate can be cleaned with metal brushes designed for this purpose.
• The brushes should be used carefully and solely for cleaning the grate. Always
rinse the grate well after using the metal brushes as they can lose bristles during use.
Brushes should be replaced when bristles start to come loose.
• Never use sharp objects to clean any part of the grill or remove ashes as they can
damage the finish.
• Never use abrasive cleaning products on your grill as this might damage the finish.
• Any damage to the finish will compromise the corrosion resistance of the grill's
parts.
• The grill must be thoroughly cleaned after use and kept in a protected and dry
place.
• Never wash the product parts in a dishwasher.
• Never use products such as alcohol, acids or solvents.
