Scope of delivery:
1x sand protection for air filter
Use
The sand protection was designed specifically for sandy and
dusty terrain.
NOTE:
The sand filter is used in combination with the original air filter. For extre-
mely dusty conditions, additional use of the dust protection for air filter
is recommended, which is available as an option.
Preassembly
Clean the original air filter as described in the owner's manual and let it dry
thoroughly.
Oil the dry air filter with high grade air filter oil, as described in the owner's
manual.

Assembly
Assembly for sandy conditions:
- Pull the sand protection over the cleaned and oiled original air filter.
- Mount the filter with the cover in the air filter box, as described in the
owner's manual.
NOTE:
Pull the sand protection only to the edge of the air filter. Contact surface (A)
must remain clear (Fig. 1).
The sand protection should not be pulled tightly over the air filter (Fig. 2).

Assembly for dusty conditions:
A
Mount the optionally available dust filter for air filter. For installation instructions,
see the assembly instructions for the dust filter for air filter.
- Pull the sand protection over the previously mounted, dry dust protection.
- Mount the filter and cover in the air filter box, as described in the owner's
manual.
NOTE:
The dust protection must be dry.
Pull the sand protection only to the edge of the air filter. Contact surface (A)
must remain clear (Fig. 3).
