Connection
Connect the 8 leads in the 8 conductor cable labelled "12 V OUT"
to the 12 V socket on the towing vehicle.
Connect the 8 leads in the 8 conductor cable labelled "24 V IN" to
the 24 V socket or the junction socket on the towing vehicle or
directly to the lamps.
Function
The 24 V input signals electronically switch 12 V to the socket.
The function of the 12 V turn signals on the trailer is indicated
by control lamps C2.

To check the function with a suitable measuring instrument, it is
necessary to connect a load to the 12 V output. With digital measuring
instruments, peak voltages of up to 24 V may be displayed. This is
not a malfunction. The trailer connection unit is short circuit proof. If
a short circuit occurs on the 12 V output, the power to the channel in
question is switched off until the short circuit is eliminated.
The unit is suitable only for operation of lighting systems with filament
bulbs.
