3.2 Operating Modes

The SPEEDSTER
®
3 has 2 different operating modes, which are
indicated on the display. You can change modes by using the
"MODE" switch, providing they are not activated automatically.
3.2.1 Digital
Vibration-mode
The digital mode was developed to ensure full compatibility with

mode of the Analog Controller (DUALSHOCK
So, for example, pressing the accelerator simulates pressure on
the corresponding button of the Controller. Of course there is no
"on/off" switch for brake, accelerator, or steering in a real car. That
is why in digital mode a button is "pressed" with increasing frequency
the more the steering wheel is turned or the pedal is operated.
With racing games that support a vibration function, this function
will be in evidence in the appropriate situations, such as during a
collision with another vehicle or a wall.
3.2.2 Analog
Vibration-mode
The SPEEDSTER
®
3's analog mode enables the precise amount
of movement required. This mode emulates the analog function of
the Analog Controller (DUALSHOCK
(DUALSHOCK

the corresponding software (see above).
