Safety notes

Attention:
Check fastenings and load security after
driving for a short period, re-tighten as
necessary and re-check at appropriate
intervals.
The permissible roof load of vehicle must not
be exceeded (refer to vehicle manual).
The roof load consists of the collective weight
of roof bar set, bicycle holder and bicycles to
be transported.
Weight of bicycle holder
3,2 kg.(7 LBS)
The vehicles clearance, handling/braking
characteristics and side wind sensitivity will
be affected when transporting goods on the
roof. Please keep this in mind when driving.
In the interests of safety, the
recommended speed of 130 km/h (81 MPH)
should not be exceeded.
Always obey posted speed limits.
To save fuel, remove bicycle holder and roof
bar set when not in use.
For safety and security, always keep locking
devices locked.
Always remove the roof bar set prior to
entering a mechanical car wash.
Warning:
Remove child seats and loose items such as
drinking bottles, saddlebags, etc. before
loading. Do not cover wheels with tarpaulin or
protective covers or similar.
Attention:
The vehicle height is altered with the fitting of
roof bar set, bicycle holder and bicycles. This
must be noted when driving over bridges,
underpasses, etc. and when entering
garages.
Repair or replacement of parts must be
carried out by a trained technician.
It is recommended that you use original
spare parts obtained from your VW
partner.
Not following these instructions and
warnings can put your safety at risk.
Care instructions
The bicycle holder must be kept clean and
well maintained at all times. Dirt and salt are
to be removed regularly particularly in the
winter time.
