wanted toasting cycle to toast the other side of the bread, turn on the
on/off button and the toasting begins.
If you want to interrupt the toasting, press the on/off button and the
signal lamp goes out. Always unplug after use.
Please note that dry bread requires a shorter toasting cycle than
fresh bread. You can even toast frozen bread, but this may require a
longer toasting cycle.
Note that the toaster is only for bread.
Never cover the grid completely with bread (max 80% of the surface
should be covered). Do not place bread outside the grid, as this will
prevent the warm air from circulating along the edge. For the same
reason, never cover the grid with tinfoil, foil cups or other material,
when you use the toaster. Any consequential damages will not be
covered by the warranty.
Cleaning and maintenance
Switch off the appliance and unplug. Let the toaster cool
completely before cleaning. Remove possible crumbs by pulling out
the crumb tray at the underside of the toaster and empty it. Reinsert
the crumb tray.
If crumbs or small bits of bread should burn and stick to the grid,
remove them carefully with a brush. The plastic casing of the toaster
can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a small amount of dishwasher
liquid and finally wiped with paper or a dish towel.
Never use scratching or etching detergents as they may damage the
casing of the appliance.
Remember never to rinse or immerse electrical appliances in water
or other liquids. Never use metallic utensils in or on the toaster and
never touch the quartz tubes of the toaster. Do not keep the toaster
in an upright position, as crumbs from the tray may drop into the
toaster and be difficult to get out.
