programmed with a range of cooking time from 0.5 hours to 12
hours. By default, the unit is set to the 'Normal' mode with a 8-hour
cooking time indicated in the display. After the five seconds, the
time will start to countdown.
If you accidentally set too much time, press the "Keep
Warm/Cancel" button to cancel the set time and start over.
'Sauté' setting
Use the" Sauté" or browning function to brown meats or caramelize
vegetables. Searing or browning ingredients keeps them moist, tender,
and flavorful. The sauté preset is a non-pressure cooking function that
can be used in place of a frying pan on a stove top.
Always ensure the lid is removed from the appliance before using
the 'Sauté' function. Do not use a lid during this cooking process.
Add a small amount of oil or butter to the bottom of the removable
cooking pot.
Place the food in the cooking pot.
Once the pressure cooker is turned on and in standby mode, press
the 'Sauté' button to select the function.
Adjust the time up or down, depending on your desired cooking
time. The default cooking time is 15 minutes.
Note: For optimal results, meat searing should be done in small
batches to prevent meat from overlapping.
When finished, you may press the "Keep Warm / Cancel" button to
keep your food warm. Use tongs to remove ingredients.
If you use the pressure cooker to cook after you sauté your food,
remember to add in water or liquid as the unit will not work and it
may scorch.
'Delay Start' setting
This function allows you to begin cooking food up to 24 hours later.
Delaying can be done at 30-minute increments and at a minimum of
30 minutes of delay.
Caution: Perishable foods such as meat and poultry products, fish,
cheese, and dairy products cannot be left at room temperature for
