18. Extreme caution must be exercised when moving an appliance containing
hot oil or other hot liquids. Do not move the appliance when under
pressure.
19. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet.
20. Do not use on plastic or synthetic tablecloths or any unstable place or near
flammable goods including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, as fire
may occur.
21. Never damage the sealant washer or replace it with other rubber washer
or tension washer.
22. Never twist the inner steel ring with your hands or other tools. If the steel ring
slips off place, do not use the appliance until it has been placed back
properly.
23. The anti-block shield should be kept clean by cleaning regularly.
24. Never block the periphery of the clamping position to ensure safety.
25. Never impact against this unit or drop it from a high place.
26. Do not touch the lid during use. It is a HOT SURFACE! Do not touch hot
surfaces; use handles or knobs.
27. To reduce the risk of electric shock, only cook in the supplied removable
cooking pot.
28. Do not use metal utensils on the cooking bowl surface, as they will scratch
the non-stick coating. Wooden or plastic ladles are recommended.
29. Do not fill the pressure cooker more than 4/5 full with liquids and food.
When cooking foods that may expand when cooking, do not fill the unit
over 3/5 full. Over filling may risk clogging the steam release and
developing excess pressure. This may also cause leakage, personal injuries,
or damage to the cooker. These level warnings do not apply to non-
pressure-cooking programs.
30. When cooking food under pressure, at least 1/2 cup of water (4 Oz) must
be added. Be careful, as the system heats very quickly.
31. Foods such as applesauce, cranberries, oatmeal or other cereals, peas,
noodles, pasta, or rhubarb should not be cooked under pressure, as these
foods tend to foam, froth, and sputter, which may block the floating valve.
32. WARNING! Keep hands and face away from the pressure regulator knob or
valve when releasing the pressure.
33. Do not open the cooker until the cooker has cooled and all internal
pressure has been released. If the float valve is still up or the lid is difficult to
turn, it is an indication that the cooker is still pressured – do not force it
open.
34. Make sure the steam release knob is in the sealing position for all the
pressure-cooking programs.
35. Always check the steam release valve, float valve and anti-block shield for
clogging before use.
36. Never remove the lid while this unit is operating under pressure!
