! Note:
In XC/XC-W models the X2 light must be used in combination with light

switch 78011970000. Failure to use this switch will cause damage to the
lighting system.
The X2 headlight mask can only be used in combination with the
optionally available stator, which must be mounted prior to mounting the
4
headlight mask.

NOTE:
In XC/XC-W models, first mount light switch 78011970000 and then
continue directly with "Mounting the X2 headlight mask".
Preparations
- Remove the original headlight mask with the headlight (see the owner's
manual).
- Remove the original connector plate (5) and detach the connectors from
the plate.
NOTE:
The supplied speedometer holder (2) is only required if the original
speedometer holder does not have the cut-out (A).
- Disconnect the speedometer plug-in connection.
- Remove the original speedometer holder and speedometer.
- Remove the speedometer, sockets and high beam indicator lamp from
the original speedometer holder.
- Mount the speedometer, sockets and high beam indicator lamp onto the
supplied speedometer holder.
NOTE:
Route the turn signal indicator, if present, and the cable with the lamp
socket together with the original wiring harness.
Do not remove the lamp of the turn signal indicator!Danger of short circuit
- Mount the cable with the lamp socket for the high beam in the indicator
lamp.
Mounting the X2 headlight mask
- Mount the brake hose guide (4) as shown in the figure.
- Screw the brake hose guide onto the headlight mask using the supplied
screws as shown in the figure (B).
- Connect the headlight mask connector with the wiring harness.
