4. Slide the cover plate counterclockwise to remove it.
5. The rear grass catcher fits onto three different groups
of Lawn-Boy mowers:
21-inch Silver and Green Series
21-inch L-Series
21-inch Gold Series, 21-inch S-Series, and earlier
21-inch cast aluminum deck mowers.
To install your rear grass catcher chute (Fig. 3), look at
the toe bar and the baffle (if present) through the deck
opening. Match your deck configuration to Figure 4, 5,
or 6, and follow the accompanying instructions.
Note: Ensure that the rear grass catcher chute does not
contact the blade.

1. Chute baffle
For 21-inch Silver and Green Series Mowers:
The chute baffle fits behind the front deck baffle and
between the blade and the toe guard (Fig. 4).

1. Front deck baffle
For 21-inch L-Series Mowers:
The leading edge of the chute baffle fits in front of the
twisted toe bar and the trailing edge slides behind the
toe bar (Fig. 5).
