Heating up
Note: Make sure the water and milk tanks are filled with the amount of fluid
required for your intended operation.
1 Place a cup on the drip grid.
Note: You can adjust the drip grid for tall and short vessels. For more
information, read the FUNCTIONS chapter. Then align the outlet of the frother
with the inside of the vessel to ensure that the frother works and to avoid
accidental scalding from hot liquids.
2
Connect the device to the mains and press the POWER button to switch the
device on.
3
The device will pump water out of the water tank for 3 seconds.
4
The POWER indicator will flash and the device will begin to heat up.
5
The POWER indicator will stop flashing as soon as the water has reached the
temperature suitable for preparation. Your device is now ready to be used.
Preparation
Always make sure that you have filled the water tank and the milk tank with
the amount of liquid required for your programme. If in doubt, fill the tank up
to a level between the MIN and MAX marks, as described in the OPERATION
chapter.
Before selecting a programme, place a suitably-sized receptacle on the drip
grid to prevent accidental scalding from hot liquids from the frother. You can
use a coffee cup, mug, or any heat-resistant, food-grade container that fits on
the drip grid.
Always use medium-coarse ground coffee, as the use of fine espresso coffee
powder can block the sieve filter.
Fill the coffee filter or the tea filter no more than the grading curve in order to
ensure that your device will function properly.
Interrupting a programme
If you want to stop a programme early for safety reasons, press the button for
the respective programme again to stop the programme. Give the device a few
seconds to stop the programme.
