Mounting of the duct
The duct must be mounted after installation of the pressu-
re relief device.
Put the duct on the housing flange centering the screws
on the hole. Screw the 3 screws with recommended
torque (12Nm).

Mounting of the valve
To install the pressure relief device remove the duct first
(fig.B/7). Unscrew the 4 screws (fig.B/6).
The pressure relief device has to be mounted on the
preventively machined flange according to the drawing by
using:
• nuts UNI5588
• grower washers UNI1751
• plane washers UNI 6592
• Screw the nuts with recommended torque (20Nm for
50M). During the valve mounting, pay attention to insert
the 2 O-Ring gaskets included in the delivery (fig.B/1 e
fig.B/2).
Bleeding of the valve
If installed vertically pay attention that the bleed screw is
placed at the highest point.
In any case, both with horizontal and with vertical moun-
ting, it is necessary to bleed the valve after the filling of the
transformer.
Unscrew partly the bleed screw to allow the excess air to
come out. Then tighten the bleed screw.

Closing of the valve
The pressure relief device must be closed after the instal-
lation with the duct.
Put the duct on the housing flange centering the screws
(fig.B/6) on the hole. It is possible to close the valve moun-
ting the duct in the 4 possible positions, with an angle of

90° in respect to the position of the housing flange.
Screw the 4 screws with recommended torque (8 Nm /
5.9 Ft•Lbs).
The locking system (fig.B/10) ensures safe transportation and
must be removed before energize the transformer.
Maximum withstand pressure: 200 kpa.
