Wiring disposition – use a panel removal tool to remove (3) wiring attachments from driver side frame rail.

Hole enlargement – use a die grinder to enlarge the foremost hole on passenger side frame rail to feed the spacer ②, see Figure 2.

Hitch installation – feed the carriage bolt ① and spacer ② into frame rails using pull wires ⑤, see Figure 1, 2, 3. Leave pull wires attached. Raise the hitch into position and slide
it over passenger side exhaust first. Feed pull wires previously installed through bracket holes. Remove pull wires and loosely install conical washer ③ and hex nut ④ to the hitch.
4.
Tighten all fasteners with torque wrench to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M).
5.
Reinstall the wiring attachment and use cable tie ⑥ to secure the wiring harness to the bracket if necessary.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been
damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
