4. INSTALLATION OF FILTER CAPSULE
WARNING!
ENSURE FILTER CAPSULE CONNECTIONS
ARE COMPATIBLE WITH SYSTEM
PIPEWORK, FAILURE TO DO SO COULD
RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR
DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Ensure the Part Number conforms to
the requirements
(b) Install the filter capsule in the EZ In-Line
Head Manifold following the correct
procedures as detailed in the manifold
instructions.
(c) The filter capsule can only be installed in
the correct orientation with the arrow of
flow direction facing upward.
(d) Proper venting should be performed
to purge the initial air from the
capsule assembly.
(e) Commence process flow and check
for leakage. If leakage occurs, isolate,
depressurise and rectify leak before
proceeding
5. REPLACEMENT OF FILTER
CAPSULE
When the maximum allowable operating time
is reached or maximum allowable pressure is
reached upstream of the filter capsule or
insufficient flow is obtained, the filter capsule
must be replaced.
Proceed as follows:-
(a) Isolate system flow upstream and
depressurise through system valves.
(b) Remaining liquid may be drained
from capsule.
WARNING!
BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE THE
FILTER CAPSULE FROM THE SYSTEM
PIPEWORK, ENSURE THAT IT IS FULLY
DEPRESSURISED. FAILURE TO DO SO
COULD RESULT IN A RAPID DISCHARGE
OF FLUID, WHICH COULD CAUSE
PERSONAL INJURY.
(c) All necessary precautions to prevent
possible static discharge must be
carried out.
(d) Disconnect the filter capsule from the
EZ In-Line Head Manifold. Discard filter
capsule and treat any excess fluid in
accordance with local Health and
Safety procedures.
(e) Install replacement filter capsule in
accordance with Section 4.
6. INFORMATION ON DISPOSAL –
MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION
The filter capsule is constructed entirely of
polypropylene. The label is constructed from
a plastic material. If further information is
required please contact Pall.
