Installation:
1
First completely close shutter.
Pull the shutter strap out of the mechanical strap
coiler and cut shutter strap approx. 30 cm beneath
the mechanical strap coiler.
Attention! The shutter strap still in the mechanical
strap coiler may spring back uncontrollably.
Keep hold of the strap in such a way that it can be
slowly pulled back into strap coiler.
Now remove the fastening screws of the mechani-
cal surface mount coiler (see fig.1) and store
screws in order to fasten the electrical strap coiler
later.
The electrical strap coiler should be located in the
same place as the mechanical strap coiler.
Therefore check that the distance between the drill
holes of the electrical strap coiler correspond with
the drill holes of the mechanical strap coiler.
Correspondence:
Fasten the electrical strap coiler with the designat-
2
ed mountings. Fasten screws as shown in fig.2 in
order to attach strap coiler.
Non-correspondence:
Measure exact position of both drill holes using a
metering rule or the drilling template (See center of
this manual).
Hold drilling template up against the wall (or the
window frame) in desired position. Make sure about
the vertical alignment of the template (if necessary
using a water level) and mark the position of the
drill holes using a pen. Bore both holes where
marked using a drill. Now fasten the electrical strap
coiler using the designated mountings. Fasten both
of the screws as shown in fig.2 in order to fasten
the strap coiler.
Pay attention to the secure grip of the screws!
